1. The room was excellent in lay out, quality and comfort of the bed, and the linen's quality. The bathroom was very very clean with the towels, gels and mats neatly laid out. Over all I felt as though I was home away from home. There was a personal touch too where the room's radiator has been turned on ahead of my arrival to make the room warm upon entry ! 2. Julie was an amazing hostess who welcomed me as if she's known me all her life ! She delivered first class service in a warm and friendly way. This to me is her nature and not because she's acting out to impress a customer. 3. The location is great and right by the sea front, with tons of walking spaces and option to sit outside and watch the sun rise, or from the luxury of your room as it has large windows. 4. Breakfast - the food was of excellent quality and served as hot as you want it. The quality of eggs, sausages, beans and bacon served was to die for !!!!!!!!

Everything went well - it was a lovely room with a sea view, decent tv at the bottom of the bed with plenty of channels and good reception. We also got biscuits with our coffee, tea, etc and it was an easy shower to use with all the towels waiting for us including a bath mat. It is also at the very most about 5 minutes walk from the town centre and we went to see a show at the Hippodrome which is rather old and unusual, just right for the Circus Of Horrors. The evening meal afterwards at Furzedown was awesome I had a battered king prawn salad with sweet chilli sauce followed by a 12oz Gammon Steak honey glazed with mustard seeds, homemade chips and egg and for a full cooked breakfast if you've got a good appetite they do the Cookie which is everything fried bread, black pudding - you name it, it does'nt get much better than that. We also got waitress service at breakfast time - don't often get that nowadays.

A nice friendly atmosphere from the moment that we checked in. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy and nice sized bed which was comfortable, tea and coffee supplied, we had lovely sea views from the room which also had a beautiful front garden. The breakfast time was between 7.30am - 9.30 each morning with a lovely cooked breakfast and a large pot of tea and also fruit juice, cereals and toast. The bar at the property offer a large range of drinks and reasonable prices. It has been a family run business for many years and they look after their guests. They also have a restaurant but not sure if it’s open everyday but looks good. Forgot to mention that there is an onsite car park and the back of the building. We will definitely return as we like the location.

We arrived about 7.30pm to a very warm welcome at The Furzedown Hotel. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant with homemade Yorkshire Puddings to be proud of!! We could watch the park run volunteers setting up so location was perfect for our run on the Saturday morning, followed by one of the best hotel breakfasts you could wish for. Everything was commendable down to the owners and staff, room facilities, parking and most beautiful daffodils in the front garden. For us it was 10 out of 10 Thank you

Andrew

Our room was on the front with good views over the Venetian canals. It was cleaned daily and tea and coffee etc all re supplied. Breakfast was plentiful and covered most tastes but continental was not shown as available. Dining room was very comfortable and not overcrowded and is well decorated and furnished. Bar really pleasant . Car Park entrance is very narrow but once through, parking was plentiful and easy. Congrats and thanks to all of the family and staff who made us very welcome.
